Springing Forward

The weather-web says we might have a frost tonight. A FROST? If it truly comes, the tender blooms and little leaves will feel the pinch. But it is Spring, so the frost won’t last long if indeed it comes at all.

Living in snow country, I’m always more than ready for Spring, especially this year, after having been though a sort of winter of my life. My dear husband Bob died 2½ years ago of Alzheimer’s, and I didn’t realize the toll it was taking on me during the seven years I cared for him.

Afterwards, the toll it took became clear, with some health issues and so forth. But I’m finally beginning to feel more like myself and that’s why this Spring is special.

Spring is always a time of hope, promise, and renewal, especially this one. Looking through the pinhole, I can see the light!
